This policy explains how we handle personal data on the bschlad.sk website. We comply with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) and with Slovak Act No. 18/2018 Coll. on the Protection of Personal Data.
Last updated: 21 August 2026. This is a translation of the Slovak original; in the event of any discrepancy, the Slovak version prevails.
1. Who processes your data
The controller is:
- BS CHLAD s. r. o.
- Horelica 108, 022 01 Čadca, Slovakia (Areál Bukov)
- Company ID (IČO): 52042251, Tax ID (DIČ): 2120889793, VAT ID (IČ DPH): SK2120889793
- Email: info@bschlad.sk
- Phone: +421 904 273 554
We are not required to appoint a data protection officer (DPO), as we do not process data on a large scale or systematically monitor data subjects. For any data protection matters, please contact us using the details above.
2. What data we process and on what legal basis
Contact form
If you send us an enquiry via the form, we process your first and last name, email address, company name (if you provide it) and the text of your message.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — processing is necessary in order to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. In other words: you are asking us for a quote or for servicing, and without this data we cannot reply to you. We do not ask for your consent, because consent would not be the appropriate legal basis here — we need the data precisely in order to do what you are asking us to do.
Purpose: to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and conduct related communication with you.
Server logs
Our hosting provider automatically records technical data about access to the website — IP address, date and time, the page visited and the browser type. Such logs are generated in the operation of every website.
Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — our legitimate interest in the secure and proper operation of the website and in protecting it against misuse.
Protecting the form against misuse
To prevent bots from misusing the form, we temporarily store the time of the last submission and a technical identifier derived from your IP address. This data is used solely to limit the number of submissions and expires after a few minutes. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR — legitimate interest in protection against spam.
3. How long we keep data
- Enquiries that did not lead to a business relationship — for no longer than 6 months after the end of our communication, after which we permanently delete the email.
- Enquiries that resulted in an order — for the duration of the contractual relationship and then for the period required by accounting and archiving regulations (usually 10 years for accounting documents under Act No. 431/2002 Coll. on Accounting).
- Server logs — to the extent and for the period applied by our hosting provider, usually several months.
Data from the form is not stored in any database on the website. The form sends it as an ordinary email message to our company mailbox.
4. Who we share data with
We do not sell or rent your data, nor do we use it for marketing. We share it only where this is necessary for our operations:
- WEDOS Internet, a.s. (Czech Republic) — website hosting and email mailbox. WEDOS acts as a processor.
- Google Ireland Limited — only if you yourself click the “Show map” button on the Contact page. See section 5 for details.
We may also disclose data to public authorities where required to do so by law.
5. The map and transfers outside the EU
The map showing our premises is not loaded automatically. On the Contact page, you will only see a notice and a button. Until you click it, nothing is sent to Google.
If you click the button, the map is loaded directly from Google, which receives your IP address and technical information about your browser. Google may also process data outside the European Union, in particular in the USA — such transfers are covered by standard contractual clauses and by the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU–US Data Privacy Framework). Google’s terms are available at policies.google.com/privacy.
You can also view our address without loading the map — simply click the address in our contact details, which will take you straight to Google Maps.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not use analytics, marketing or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, the Facebook Pixel or any similar tools. Fonts and icons are hosted directly on our server, so during normal browsing you do not connect to any third-party domain.
The website stores only one file on your device:
- PHPSESSID — a technical session cookie. It protects the contact form against misuse (security token). It expires when you close your browser and contains no information about you personally.
Under Section 109(8) of Slovak Act No. 452/2021 Coll. on Electronic Communications, consent is not required for strictly necessary cookies. That is why you will not find a cookie banner on this website — we simply have nothing to ask your consent for.
7. Your rights
In connection with the processing of your data, you have the right:
- of access — to find out whether we hold any data about you and, if so, what data (Art. 15 GDPR),
- to rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data (Art. 16),
- to erasure, also known as the “right to be forgotten” (Art. 17),
- to restriction of processing (Art. 18),
- to data portability — to receive your data in a machine-readable format (Art. 20),
- to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21),
- to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77).
Simply write to us at info@bschlad.sk. We will reply within one month at the latest.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your request, you can contact the supervisory authority:
- Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic
- Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava 27, Slovakia
- dataprotection.gov.sk
If you live or work in another EU Member State, you may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in that country.
8. Are you required to provide your data?
No. Filling in the form is voluntary. However, without your name, email address and message, we cannot reply to you — that is the only consequence. You can also contact us by phone or email without using the form.
9. Automated decision-making
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling. Every enquiry is read and handled by a person.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example if a new feature is added to the website. The current version, together with the date of the last update, is always available on this page.
